As like 97, the capital of Senegal will once again be the start for the Dakar rally. A warm-up stage across Senegal Savannah, the first half of the special wil be over twisted tracks, through the bush, with many parallel pistes. Care will need to be taken due to possible ruts caused by the heavy rains. The second part uses more pistes with laterite and will become faster and demand consirable driving skill.
